This isn't so much a question but a tip for those that may not have noticed. None of the event jobs show up on skins task lists. I have taken all of the skins off every charecter in town. That way I can quickly assign everyone to event currency earning tasks using the charecter locator when a new group is unlocked after a lab upgrade or when Cecil assigns a new task.

Thanks, this had dropped off of page one for me, and I had missed it.

Here is a question I have about the character groups. During the Stonecutter Event we could keep 5 characters free, (Comic Book Guy, Mayor Quimby, Wolfecastle, Rod or Tod, and Agnes) to cover all of the character groups. However, I know the character groups have changed because of new characters being added. Do these 5 characters still offer the best combination to keep free?

IMO, yes and no. Yes, those characters will still cover everything you need, but most of them also have the tasks at Monsarno, so you might not want to keep them free all the time. I've been keeping most characters with the Monsarno tasks just constantly on them, and grabbing whoever else was available for Cecil's tasks. (If no one else can do it, I'll send someone with a task, but I'd prefer they keep earning me fertilizer and corn.)

Ok, thanks for the reply. I am starting to wrap my mind around this event. I feel like I am playing catch up, but I have played this game long enough to know that I always feel this way during the first week or two of an event, and they always seem to work out or get extended.
