Releasing Gremlins into Neighbor's Town?

Ive been to busy in my own town to think about venturing yet :)
  • Add me, lll drop a gremlin all over your town....you don't lose goo, you gain it, btw.

That seems to have happened with the latest update. Go back to your home Springfield, then click on the Bart/Milhouse. They should be back. I've had problems with it, too.

Also how do we haunt houses?

I'd like to know, too. I can pop ghosts and drop gremlins in other people's towns, but I don't know how to haunt their buildings, although they seem to know how to haunt mine.
  • I didn't open the haunting part until I visited my Krustyland. Once I'd done that and tapped back to Springfield, I could see all the buildings my friends had haunted and could haunt their buildings when I visit.
  • So many friends with maxed out gremlins....mine are stock piling as I can't release :-(
  • Good etiquette rules for Good Neighbors:

    Gremlins are gatherers -

They either earn you and your neighbor 2 or X number of Goos

They do not steal your Goo or your neighbor's Goo from accumulated counts of Goo

It's better to tap on all Gremlins except SAVE ONE , that One surviving Gremlin you're are letting alive is a thank you to the neighbor who released the Gremlins and haunted your SF .

Try and return the favor for getting Gremlins in your SF, by releasing some to the Neighbor who sent you theirs .
For example yesterday my SF was flooded by 1 single player with at least 6-7 Gremlins, so my entire stock of Gremlins that entire day was reserved to her town .

If you follow this advice , you and your neighbors should profit in Goo collecting , and don't forget to avoid DOUBLE HAUNTING
  • I don't understand the concept behind not double haunting. I mean the game developers reward you for it and allow it in the game for a reason. I don't believe it is to promote stealing. Also consider that what goes around comes around and leave a few of your buildings haunted and it will happen to you as well. If people go around not haunting buildings every once in a while there will be none to double haunt. At the same time, while you're being a good neighbor as some put it, there is no guarantee that the next visitor will not benefit from an already haunted building. Once again EA is rewarding the tapper of the double haunted building by design!

On the subject of gremlins, I also agree that tapping them is the way to go. It's also OK to leave some untapped at the end of your playing time. Strictly looking at the numbers, If you have 10 gremlins that you drop in a neighbor's town and they tap them, you each earn 20 GOO. If they reciprocate with 10 of their own GOO then you both also receive 20 GOO. That is a total of 10 gremlins per neighbor and a cumulative 40 GOO each. You can do this in 2 or 3 minutes and have 40 GOO for your 10 gremlins as opposed to 4 hours with someone away or who intentionally doesn't tap gremlins. Which is more attractive? I currently have 22058 GOO and about 30+ friends yet to visit today. The choice is yours, I haven't sped up any tasks in the game since before level 10 when I realized the value of donut, so it's very possible to collect on the order of 2000 GOO per day and get the Bonus Donut Game for every 2000 donuts collected beyond 10010. That's right, the first 10 donuts you collect in the Ghost in the Machine-Based app don't seem to apply to the bonus! Happy Tapping!!
  • I'm an hourly player, so I clear gremlins out of my town pretty quick. Feel free to drop some into my town and I'll reciprocate where I can.
