Removing friends

That should do it. But it doesn't and hasn't for weeks.

It would be interesting to see how widespread it is. Pretty sure that most long time players don't bother much adding/deleting neighbours,so they probably haven't noticed.

Mine come and go intermittently,but even when they are back I can't add or delete.
It's the same for all of my towns even the brand new one.

No problem with mine, I just deleted a bunch of inactive friends.

This may not work, but it’s worth a try.

Log out, hard close game, Log in, try removing friend(s)

In the past, I have found that doing this has resolved issues around adding and removing friends.

EDIT: make sure you have an account before doing this

I noticed when the friend avatars are grey you cannot remove friends. When they turn blue or have a picture then you can. Looks like a server-side problem.

Think that there are some issues with the friends system currently, there are a few similar posts in the bugs section about issues with the addition and removal of friends, quite a few of us recently lost all our friends for some time although they have now returned for most people, You could try contacting support and see if there is anything that they can help with or create a bug report to submit to EA, but suspect that you will just have to wait for EA get around to fixing the issue.
