I understand it's annoying. I too have to wait days to earn enough money to start the new level (in my feeder town). In my main town I had 12 million dollars and nothing to buy. I have all of the land, buildings and inspirationals. I was sooo happy to see the new 10 million building.
You too will reach that stage and it gets really boring. I think the new extremely high prices are the writer's way of trying to keep you from getting bored.
