The prices for the buildings are very ridiculous as you progress onto the last three current levels in the game. I actually think that the price gap between levels 41-42 which is really a very shocking price. I mean for the actual two level in total you need to pay over one million dollars which is very stressful for the new players who do not have that much cash to spend.
Even for free players, if they regularly send their characters on tasks and collect from their buildings, it shouldn't take that long to save up a million once you reach level 42 and have some of the bonus multipliers. It's not that difficult.
I'm level 42, completely freemium. Send all of my people in missions every 4 hours generally. Visit all 100 friends each day. Collect from my buildings 3-5 times a day.
Doing all that it would take me about 10 days to save 1 million.
There you go. So you average about 100,000 per day. Even the most expensive building in the game, the newly released Sit-N-Rotate building is 10,000,000. So it'd take you a little over 3 months to save up for it.
Given level updates happen on average every 1-2 months (or more), that allows plenty of time to save up.
And for people who are donut players who have more characters, buildings, and a higher bonus multiplier, those numbers are increased pretty noticeably.
Point is, I don't really understand the complaining about building prices. Are the later level buildings expensive? Yes. And they should be. Once you've achieved clearing all the land sections (and aren't spending a lot of money on those), you'll be surprised how quickly the money adds up. And don't complain if it takes time. It's supposed to. It offers something in the game to work toward. Once you've fully leveled and bought everything there's not much to do. Always having a new goal to strive for in the game (the point of the aspirational buildings) keeps people playing and interested.
Don't try to rush it, which in my opinion complaining about the price of expensive buildings is in a way, since you'd prefer it now or as soon as possible. Once you hit the end those waits for new content can be awhile, and boring at that.
