You are guaranteed to have a neighbour that visits you! Lots of people have more than one town, commonly referred to as feeder towns, they can be helpful during events.

You know, I was toying with the idea of starting a second town. Maybe it's nostalgia for my early days of playing, when my town was only a few squares and a couple of freemium characters. I'm kind of on the fence right now.
