I didn’t “dismiss” anyone. I didn’t attack anyone personally. I never expressed or implied anything suggesting people don’t have a “right to complain”.
After weeks of advising many players across several platforms that it’s only one device affected, the simple question occurred to me: why wouldn’t folks aware of this, just use any other device temporarily, instead of missing out on playing? - EA usually works on bugs without notifying anyone. We dont know how hard they're working on this.
- EA has delivered plenty of patches that seemed to take a long time. We dont know how easily they can schedule in a debugging correction affecting one model

I want to know what part of this original comment was “dismissive”, @Jonalinn. My first four retorts seemed pretty reasonable to me. If you believe they’re dismissive, i honestly don’t see how as they certainly weren’t intended so. But of course you are entitled to your opinion. So could it be that i expressed my opinion, that I’ve observed a surprising amount of whining about a bug so easily worked around? Is “whining” the naughty word? What an obscenity! Perhaps it should be added to the site’s censorship list.
I’ve seen “arrogant” and “dismissive” opinions expressed frequently, when it comes to bashing the developers at EA. But it seems clear after 10 years, that while they don’t communicate much to us, they DO respond to issues as quickly as they are able to. Code Debugging is not easy, even though many players seem to believe it is. Sometimes it can be very time consuming to find the conflict. So,
“This can’t be that hard” sounds a lot more dismissive than what i said.
“EA doesn’t give a damn” sounds a lot more arrogant than what i said.
Oh and @devilhunt1449 , the s22 is a “new” phone to me, because i have an s4. So 2 year old devices are still considered new to me. And it’s definitely expensive to me. I can’t afford it, or any new phone tbh.
If anyone doesn’t like what i say here, you’re welcome to block me and scroll on. But some of you definitely have blown my original comment WAY out of proportion; which is pretty disappointing considering how much i try to contribute positively to this forum. I would suspect that no one has contacted Samsung about the issue, there had been no Android updates or Samsung UI updates for in excess of 6 months, the game had been functioning perfectly for 2 years on the device and was working absolutely fine until the game update was installed at which point the graphics problem started, every other app and game I have on my phone works perfectly fine so that seems to point the problem to the game rather than the device.- Willy9292Seasoned VanguardAs a person who has worked in the IT environment for over 40 years, I can tell you the basic steps to troubleshoot this. You simply look at what changed. The android code and UI had not changed. The game update caused the issue. EA would have the ability to put an older apk on to an S22. I suspect that the issue would disappear. You then compare the last working apk to the golf apk. There will be multiple changes, so you use your development server to revert changes until the problem is fixed. A dev who works that code would have a pretty good handle on where to look. The S22 is listed as the highest selling android phone so this is a big chunk of the market. EA could easily talk to Samsung, but their answer will be that they did not change anything.
We already know the buildings are there, you can select them and store them. They just don't display. I know that would send me down a specific path looking at the code.
The issue will be how much effort they put into a game this old. They never solved "The Glitch" but just gave people generic towns as replacements. To me the best thing is that it hit the most popular phone.
I work 7 days a week. I am at customers establishments all day. I can't simply carry another device and hook on to their wifi. My play time is on cellular between calls.
I did talk to Samsung. They indicated the same thing, nothing has changed on the phone, do the download for the golf event is the issue. This paragraph in particular @4junk3000. I not only found it to be dismissive, I also found it to be condescending. It comes across with a very contemptuous attitude. It just doesn't read well ?♀️.
You suggest that members here are "welcome to block me and scroll on. " Speaking for myself, I see no reason to do so. While I might feel that you've overstepped a bit here in this thread, it does not mean that I do not value you as a fellow member. - Ugh I was really hoping the S22 bug would get fixed by this update. It's difficult to do anything with new buildings & decorations when things keep disappearing.

I hate that sound, especially the super loud birds chirping. I dont remember being able to play with sound on.
On the S22 issue, all the buildings from this event are visible and stable. Wouldn't you think comparing them to the invisible ones would be a good starting point. Question: Is EA actually working on this. Really. We know that they were made aware of it but zip has been said about it. I would fire a dev team that has nothing after this long.

- Hey, my mountains are back! My buildings are no longer vanishing in and out! Not sure what changed, since I've not had a phone or game update, but I'm not about to start poking around & jinx it.
