honestly i think someone got it spot on .. their license agreement must have ended with Disney/Fox/Simpsons and they cant afford the license fees or dont want to renew. i really hope someone takes over the game. theres alot of passionate players for this game.
and you're right. honestly. ive been logging into this game daily for last 12 years. its become a routine and source of familiarity and comfort.
EA should weigh any licensing fees against the projection of revenue from so many of us saying in just 3 days that we will gladly pay to keep our game even offline with no new events, characters or inventory.
I would gladly pay a monthly or annual subscription to keep my game as-is, 10+ years of loving this game.
