Samsung Users! Town portrait is working!

Finally worked for me on my Samsung. I just took the photo without the extra steps but this is the first time it was successful. Thanks for the heads up.

Didn't work for me. Went through the long process of capturing and compiling, but when it came to saving, just the usual error message

Exactly the same for me to, some error along the lines of failed to save the image (can't remember exactly) same as the last time I tried several months ago (plenty of space on device 80+ gig) I'm guessing that it's a permission issue but how to fix it I don't know.

I went in with no pics etc. For first time in ages it worked perfectly. Only change to my s10 plus since I last tried was upgrade to Android 11. Nice to have it working.

I downloaded the new gallery app like you did, but don't know what you meant by removing tapped out as an optimized app in settings

Those of you having a problem, here is something you can investigate.
Get a file explorer and look for your TEMP folders. Most devices write to a temp folder before saving to your choice of file folder. If that temp folder is full or corrupted, it may be rejecting the game's attempt to write to it. Usually deleting it forces the system to create a fresh one.
Also try this, check whether you are storing to an SD card or internal memory. Whichever it is, switch to the other.
Finally, don't forget to go to settings, storage, clear cache; as well as settings, apps, tsto, clear cache.

I just used the town image tool and it worked on my Tab. Good luck

I just tried it with my old Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. It didn't work. I hit the button, it went to a splash screen, then went back to my town with the confirm dialog.
