Also I have seen some fantastic screenshots in the showcase board and wish some folks wouldn't just pile endless buildings on their land for no reason.
Isn't one Krustyburger or Kwik E Mart enough? Twenty white houses in a row is also OTT in my opinion.
it's not pretty but it's a quick and easy way to make money, think it's called house farming.- I can't login either. This is getting beyond OLD!

It's like wanting a car and instead of making monthly payments, deciding to drive an old crap car for a while and to take on a boring, tedious, repetitive part-time job at minimum wage, with lousy hours, plodding along saving up the money all at once and then buying the car.
It was how things used to be done in the old days when we couldn't get things on installment plans or credit. You saved up money. When you had all the money, you got what you were aiming for. Meanwhile, you had zip to show for it. You drove the cfrap car, and put a bumper sticker on it saying "Don't laugh. It's paid for." ;)
I wouldn't consider housefarming easy. Its frustrating. Some of us aren't willing to do it that way. We're too impatient and want to see some positive results along the way.
It's not something I'm willing to do in my main town, but that's because I'm impatient. ;)- I agree, getting very sick of this.... Very hard to enjoy and play the game when you can barely login.

I (like many others) began farming blue or white houses to get the money I needed quickly to get buildings and characters. But now that I'm leveled out and have lots more money, land, bonus multipliers; I've been able to concentrate on making my springfield much more genuine and aesthetically pleasing.- I just started getting the Bart screen "again" in my B game but not my main town. This is really annoying now. EA has responded to my ticket by saying it is a pretty universal problem and they are looking into it. I am in North America playing on IOS.
- Same here. I was just connected, was visiting friends towns, then got a crash.
Restarted the game, and can't get out of Bart screen :( - I can access my feeder town but not my main town, what's going on?
- Was on fine an hour ago. Servers are down now again ( had no trouble today).

I and my partner are totally hooked to the game despite our ages (41).
This is not a children's game. It's meant for adults. I'm 50. Have you not paid attention to some of the things the characters say?djcenturio629 wrote:
However I don't expect the servers to be 100% at all times. Imagine if your parents (if ya under 18 :) ) allowed you to keep the tv on 24/7 I'm sure you would get bored easily.
What's that got to do with anything? I generally only play a few minutes a day, broken into segments depending on the tasks I've sent characters on (except when I'm doing Friend Actions - that takes over an hour, but that's partly due to our slow internet connection). If you can't play because the servers are down then that's a legitimate complaint. Now it's one thing if the servers are down because they're being hacked or under denial of service attack - that's not EA's fault. That would be like blaming a store because it's been robbed or picketed by a horde of teenagers who don't even shop there. But the game goes down so much even when it's not under attack...djcenturio629 wrote:
The 24 hour waits for some buildings are a pain as are the high cost of some buildings and characters whom don't do a lot as a return.
You must be new. Just wait until you get to the buildings (and Squidport tiles) that take Several Days to finish - and cost a million dollars or more each...djcenturio629 wrote:

It's called house farming. It's done for reasons.
1. It's a quick way to gain money to buy those expensive buildings. My most recent building purchase cost $900,000 and took almost a week to save up for with my field of 20 Blue Houses. Take a look at these prices:
Sunsphere - $750,000
Escalator to Nowhere - $1,000,000
Sit-N-Rotate - $1,000,000
Popsicle Stick Skyscraper - $2,000,000
50 Foot Magnifying Glass - $3,000,000
And that's just the ones currently available in the store. (Insert deity of choice here) knows what they'll add next or how much it will cost...
2. When you have 100 friends you need 300 buildings for them to tap if you don't sit and play constantly. I log in several times a day, but I still have a field of 20 Brown Houses for friends to tap in between logins. And even then I sometimes run out overnight or over extended periods when I can't log in.
3. Multiple buildings (especially stores) can raise your Conform-0-Meter ratings and increase your bonus percentage.
And above all please remember: This is a GAME, not an art contest.
