I think the excitement is going down, and/or people are looking for the low defense towns. They are more likely not to check frequently, so you can cash in on the single nerd for 10 hours giving you the full reward.

Ivery got tons of elixir but refuse to upgrade my castles past level 10 to get a higher defence rate. Only because I pass on random attacks on towns with ridiculous defence levels so I assume others do the same. Also, lower defence towns are easier to use the 'fake win glitch' on.

True on that last. But there are still lots of low level towns out there at the moment. And clicking on shields pays very little. So I'm upgrading and getting all the nerds I can for the attack.

One more thing... Many people aren't even looking at the time. They just look at the castles and assume one that looks big is a town that is hard to attack. So put your walls, gates, etc into storage and make yourself look weak. :wink: :)
