Sorry, but feel the need to vent over EA's massive apathy over tech support. For the third time this year, my game is refusing to load (crashes when attempting to log in). Exact same symptoms ever...

Hope that you get a donut refund. I'll offer my two cents, I don't know if it will help. My Springfield has a vibe that new content and characters have to meet or they go into storage. I could easily put half my characters in storage and not miss them. There are so many obscure, weird characters, I just don't like them. I probably have 65% of my buildings and decorations in storage because they just don't make sense.
My favorite part of town, is the first area I created, The Simpson's house, Flanders next door, my first KwikEMart, Moe's. The Simpson's neighborhood. All of which are offered near the start of the game.
So if I had to start over, I'd be distraught no doubt, but I'd be able to create my favorite most important part of the game very quickly, and then acquire my favorite decorations once again.
Maybe you feel this way too, and don't need absolutely everything to enjoy the game, but the truth is almost everything is being offered via endless mystery boxes and all events have tons of old content.
Good luck. It will still be fun and enjoyable.
