The layout of the Terrance and Philip game looked more like the Family Guy game. Just tossing that out there.
This exactly it more resembled the Family Guy Game but we all know which game is better.
 That's right. Its the other game that is the problem, not this one... :(- The message of the episode rang true to home. How I maintain my Tapped Out addiction is I try and suppress the purchasing of in-game donuts as best as I can, because ultimately it is just fluff add-ons for completionists.
- Brilliant episode and I felt that all points were valid. I wouldn't say I'm addicted to the point of losing control, I set a budget of 900 donuts every few months. It's all futile effort to kill some time in this crazy period known as life.

Yeah. That episode was not really about criticizing "freemium" games... if anything, it was criticizing the people who do. As proven by the dad Randy who was drinking through the entire episode and defending it as something different. Also when Satan said "Hey, we all have a f***ing hole to fill."
I also liked the comparison to slot machines, the point that alcohol companies use a far more blatant method of drawing people in, and the subtle inclusion of sports fanaticism into the theme. I'm not arguing that freemium games don't have a method of making money off of people's obsessions, I'm saying that it's ignorant to speak of them as this "new evil," when the method has been in place for a long time by many other industries. Which was the entire point of the episode.- I thought it was a brilliant episode.
- AnnathewickedRising TravelerI found it quite funny and on the point. And randy made the point perfect
- Thank you South Park. To quote Taylor Swift "... I think I'm finally clean".
- I think there were many classic Southpark touches: Randy's usual cluelessness, Satan's casually profane lecture. I found one assertion troubling: is TSTO really not fun? I know there are parts of the game I don't like, so for instance, I keep a short list of neighbors I enjoy visiting. I think the episode is making me realize that those kinds of strategies aren't tempering my addiction but simply a sign of how deep it goes.
That being said, I got my 20 donuts for finishing the Kang quest line this morning, so what do I care? Pinpal00 wrote:
