Springfield has got most things, it even has a zoo. Isn’t it about time that it had a good old fashioned working farm?

I have a couple of farms and huge patches of corn, etc. (in addition to Cletus' little dirt patch.) The OP must have missed out on the barns and farm buildings from earlier in the game.
