Squidport tiles
I think it's just one of those things that you have to keep plugging at, even when you think you don't necessarily need a tile.

I did not know this but had noticed during stone cutters hovering around the Simpson house did not produce a camera to tap. Remember Santa coins ? They would vanish in front of your eyes as other nieghbors tapped them before you could. So you'd just park your finger by the Simpson house and wait.
I missed out on Santa coins due to my tragic lack of an iDevice, but that sounds a bit problematic.
But yeah, things don't regenerate in neighbor's towns anymore, until they do whatever it takes to trigger regeneration. Even last Halloween, with the haunting, though technically it took two people tapping a building to render it useless. It really started with Valentine's this year, though, that's when all repeat tapping got shut down for good. It was also around the same time that FP was introduced, which at least still gives us all a good reason to visit. (Well, when we can visit without crashing every time we try to load a town.)
