- I would never spend donuts on a skin for a decoration, definitely not 50!
- I just bought the gold skin - because I wanted gold FENCES!
I have a fence problem. I know I'm not the only one. I don't care about the stadium but 50 donuts for gold fences seemed like a bargain. I feel no shame. - bluyoshi88810Seasoned NewcomerI did not bother with them for the following reasons:
1.)They don't have a percentage,
2.)They don't come with a character (The Heck House from last year was a better deal than this),
3.)They don't have an animation, and
4.)They cannot be used by characters (Though the original facade already does this).
This is pure bragging rights. - 4junk3000New Spectator

I bought the clay stadium skin not realising (probably stupidly) that it didn't give you anything extra, like more bleachers, fences, lights etc. For 50 donuts I just presumed we might get the extras needed for a full stadium, and now with time running out I'm going to have a completely unfinished looking stadium that I've spent 50 donuts on, and wouldn't have had I have known.
Did anybody else do the same thing? Or does anybody agree that 50 donuts is a lot of money for something that in the end, is still completely reliant on how much event currency you get?
I rarely spend donuts. I've been saving for ages to get Barney. 250 seems impossible to accrue, but I got there. And then I spent this 50...
I bought that clay skin. I really liked the look. I just wanted the bleachers in that color, to match my high school and my dog track.
Unfortunately I'm going to run out of event time before I get all the bleachers I needed to earn. I need just a couple more double stacks. I'm hustling today but don't think I'll get there.
But no I had no expectations of free extra stuff when I bought it. It's a SKIN. I have no expectation of getting a premium character for free when I win one of their skins either. Neglecterino wrote:
Hi Juliet. So sorry you didn't see the several threads on what these were before you bought them.
I didn't buy them. For me, 50 donuts is too much for a skin for a building.
That'll teach me not to check the forums more often
I honestly don't know what possessed me to buy this, I usually save for characters or buildings with characters, call it a moment of madness I guess :?- Been playing long enough to know what to look for in the game and on the forums to make informed decisions when it comes to donuts. I don't normally buy skins or NPC's that don't benefit my earning, so in that regard I don't think they're necessarily a "rip-off" since I know to avoid them.
But the Tap Ball Stadium is such a unique feature in the game that I did buy a skin for it. If you've got a large enough design it really does make it stand out more than the default look. - Apart from the 50 donuts for a skin (no chance I'd buy that), I'm also surprised how difficult it turned out to be to earn the event currency needed to build a complete stadium. I didn't see that coming until later in the event when it became obvious I would have to buy single level bleachers only and I STILL wouldn't be able to finish it. I'm now wondering how I'll use the playing field post-event without adequate decorations, or if maybe I'll just store it. Anyway, I can live without it; it's huge and not that amazing looking. I might just use certain parts, like the scoreboard and some bleachers, to make a sort of football field for the high school.

While I agree the 50 donut price tag is expensive, I got both the gold and clay skins. And the clay one is by far my favourite look (you will be seeing it in my town, when you visit, as soon as the event is over - just keeping the gold one up until the end of the event... But the fences admittedly look really good in gold). Hopefully you will be able to collect enough stadium accessories (seating, fences, lights) so you can make a design you are happy with :D
EDIT: I have seen a lot of people using boardwalk benches instead of stadium bleachers for seating - it actually looks really good, and is a nice alternative if you can't get the amount of bleachers you would like.- mystery2miSeasoned NewcomerI do like the look of the clay skin, but I never buy skins for characters or buildings. That is until I accidentally bought the football skin for Nelson. I was trying to get Furious D and tapped it by mistake. I ended up getting Furious D too after I told myself that I wasn't going to spend donuts on this event. Oh well...
- i usually wouldnt but I really liked how the clay one looked and I got a lot of overtime donuts. I figured those were free so why not re-invest them
