Cheers mate. Homer is on the 16 hour work at the plant quest at the moment so will let you know if the above works once he is finished!

Have you built all the buildings for and up until level 15? Maybe that might be the hold up. I know every time a new level comes out, you must build the main story buildings first.

Nope I haven't and you could be right. The reason I posted though was that nowhere did any of the walkthroughs or guides say that there were building pre-reqs just that Homer initiates (with Lisa) the Squid port.

So did it eventually unlock for you? I'm currently in a similar position (lvl27, currently building Java Server) yet no Squidport.

I was at a higher level when SP came out but I think Bart and squidport will unlock at about the same time. He is needed very early, and throughout, the SP quest line. I'd also suggest to keep Springfield as the focus for a little while if your not spending donuts. The tiles and shops burn a lot of cash. Besides you need to get to level 20 and unlock Moe to get to all of the SP buildings.

Prereq is homer drinking at Moe's

It unlocked but my level was far higher than the quest line stage I was at. So just keep doing quests

Turns out the hidden prereq was building Moe's and having homer drink there.
