Actually, during the Stonecutters event they paid out at about 120% rate (sort of a "semi"-premium rate). Presumably this was so people kept the characters in their Stonecutters costumes for the duration of the event.

After the event finished, the payout rates reverted to the normal standard rate of 100%.

3 characters were "free" for the re-sale of Stonecutters merch - Skinner, Krusty & Kent Brockman.
Those 3 will have a normal payout for all tasks, EXCEPT those at a premium building.

Most SC skin tasks are at SC Lodge (now a premium building). The only exceptions are 2hrs (SC Daycare Center), and 4hrs (various, usually something related to the character). So only 2hr & 4hr tasks for those 3 are "normal" rate, the others still earn "premium".

Note: Homer's SC Skin is also "free", but as you need the SC Lodge to do it it's classified as "premium" (for all tasks, not just at the SC Lodge).

I second that. As a freemium I still need to collect cash for inspirationals and any future land add-ons, so I appreciate premium gifts!

They didn't pay premium before they were brought back.

Ok, let me spell this out.

When they came out during the event, they were not paying out premium. I didn't realize that they paid out a higher rate during the Stonecutters event, as Linkwick told us. (Thanks for the info).

After the event, they reverted to normal character payouts, as many were given away during the event for free as prizes. I presume that premium characters still had premium payouts with the Stonecutters skins during this time, but I'm not sure.

Then, they started to SELL the skins as premium. Like every other free item that eventually gets sold as premium, once they are premium, the payout goes to the premium scale. So the Stonecutters skins now have premium payouts.

Those of us who played through the event have quite a few characters suddenly able to get premium payouts due to this. :)

Ok, so do we get it now? During event, semi-premium. After event, not premium. Once sold, all are premium.

Correct. They just recently became premium, they didn't become premium "again."
