    Eh yo,
On a side note.... did that free Wailing Wall give us a 2% bonus on cash/xp? Because I'm bumped up another 2% after I placed it. Didn't see it saying anything about a bonus in the description, just that it gives out ghosts...

    and as always...
    Vote Quimby

I hit submit instead of preview and tried to fix quickly. So? That doesn't make me wrong any more than saying 'that's just your opinion' does, does it?

    Edited one time.
/golfclap You really showed me there.

A position is obviously not "wrong" simply as a function of it's being "your opinion." But you certainly haven't given any support for why your position - that political humor is handled differently in the game than in the show - is a belief that is shared by anyone, let alone is "probably" the cause for most of the negative posts. I think this is especially clear when you consider many of the "anti-political" posts are expressly complaining about the Republican party being targeted or that politics generally should be kept out of the game.
This is exactly my point, acutally: the posts are about anti-Republican political jokes because that's the only kind the game has. Unlike the show, the game's political humor is particularly 'sharp' and very one sided. The fact that it's only anti-republican jokes that are getting complaints does not prove that the Democrats are less likely to react negatively to 'sharp' satire: it's because they don't have anything to complain about in that department. I think this adequately explains why people who presumably enjoy the show do not enjoy the game's political humor: it is different.

It's very hard to prove a negative. I can not 'demonstrate' that absence of 'sharp' anti-Democrat political humor in the game. I can only fail to find evidence of it. Can you find evidence of 'sharp' anti-Democrat political humor to prove me wrong?

Smell ya later. Smell ya later, forever, WhosMarge.
    Oooh, another zinger.

By the way, you screwed up your italics there. You could always do what I ordinarily do when I make an error in a post, and edit it.

So, just to be make sure I understand, your position is that: (i) the political humor in the game is "different" than the humor in the show because the humor in the game only makes fun of Republicans; and (ii) that's the reason why Republicans are upset about the political humor in the game?

    Is that accurate?
Not quite. I also think that the humor is getting the reaction it is because the humor is substantially more mean-spirited, and not nearly as apt or funny. But the general point is that yes, the humor is extremely one sided in a way that the show is not.

I do not, however, think that only Republicans find it unappealing. In fact, I know for certain that that's not the case. :-)

I'm not sure I understand the question? I have many thoughts on many things.

I think you understood the question just fine.
Well, you think wrong, but even so surely it couldn't hurt you to clarify. What things? What kind of thoughts? And why is it relevant?

We're getting to know each other. I was just curious about if you had other thoughts regarding other things.
Considering your rather argumentative tone, I'm going to go with 'you first.' Because somehow I suspect ulterior motives here.

    Well, you already went first.
So continue? I don't understand your point. Unless you are hoping to 'prove' to me that my political views are what you like to assume them to be?

I have absolutely no insights as to your political views.
Great! Well, let me know if you have any response to my actual points, then, because currently you seem very intent on focusing the conversation on me personally, which is off topic at best.
