- It's funny how they called most of the people who plays this game "Sheeple". HA the HUMOR!
There no such thing as politics, it's just Globalism. NWO is what they want. Distracty wrote:

They make fun of the left, too. Relax. But we all know saying anything bad about Obama labels you a racist so they'll steer clear of that.
Lemme guess... You're a straight, white male, right?
Let me guess... You're a racist, right?
Who? Me or him?? Because, that's pretty much what I was suggesting about him. Sorry if my comment was taken out of context though.... :?
You. Racist/generalizing against white straight men. Yes, Caucasian is a race believe it or not.- At the very beginning of the show, the creators demanded total creative control, with no interference from Fox Network (for those who didn't know, the original Fox network is totally separate from Fox News). Thus, they can make fun of every-, and any-, thing. There's a lot of very subtle humor through the whole series - left, right, and center. That's the show. Complaining about it after 25 seasons is kinda silly.
- I'm an aussie, and I'm offended by the episode where they visited australia and said we all drink fosters. We dont even sell fosters in australia!!
And they had Lisa playing a digeridoo, thats about as offensive as it gets to an indiginous person, women aren't allowed to play them. Nicole Kidman got in a heap of trouble when she did a few years ago.
Those evil drop bears are real though... ;) Land0fComedy wrote:

Most? I'm pretty sure Burns called us all sheeple. Because, you know, living inside of a capitalist society means that none of us can tell the difference between thought and consumption.- The best way to stop American politics talk would be to travel back to 1774 and cause the Americans to loose. There's your solution
- The writers of the show actually do mock both sides. Quimby's party affiliation is very rarely relevant in the show, and I can't think of a time it was ever even mentioned in game. He's just a corrupt politician, and not a depiction of all Democrats, so I don't really count him as an example, but any time there's an ideological conflict in the show both sides come off looking silly in one way or another.
When the game gets political, though, the writing tends to have this gleefully mean-spirited feel that's just not particularly funny, and not up to the standard of the show's writing. "Yay, I have a platform for my political views! Republicans are dumb amirite?" It's simply not comparable to the show's social satire, and that's probably why it gets so many complaints here from people who presumably have seen the show, too. WolfyDiesel wrote:
Ah, jumping to conclusions. What a surprise! Of course you are totally neutral on this issue. :roll:WhosMarge wrote:

Yes, i'm certain your wholly subjective views on "social satire" are tuned in precisely to what is "probably" the reason why the majority of complaints are made.
Let me ask you this: why do you assume that anyone who enjoys the show enough to play the game, but does not like the game's political humor, must be somehow biased? It couldn't possibly be because the game handles political humor differently than the show does? Do you think that it doesn't?
I mean, just saying 'that's just your opinion' doesn't show my why my opinion is wrong, does it?WolfyDiesel wrote:
I hit submit instead of preview and tried to fix quickly. So? That doesn't make me wrong any more than saying 'that's just your opinion' does, does it?

Won't somebody PLEASE think of the straight, white men?!?

 Its sad when white men get defensive about racism towards themselves. We're the most privileged people on earth and yet we're the quickest to point out what is and isn't racist. Yes you can technically be racist towards white men, but really, so what? If you're white and experience racist comment, you must be a Republican, if you let it get to you. Any cool enough white guy knows how good they have it, and won't make such a big deal out of it. Thats why you see liberals writing the Simpsons. Conservatives just don't have the sense of humour for comedy, unless its how to be a redneck or how to get 'er done.
