Summer Showdown 2013 vs 2014

At this point it's unlikely we'll have anything that came close to last summers expansions. We got the Squidport plus all the water tiles which was huge, plus KL which isn't great but it was still big, and plus the land.

This summer already lost out on one major addition to the game because stonecutters event was just an event. Nothing new was really added like during the SP update. If rumors are true and we get a monorail update, I doubt they'll add anything new either (nothing that wasn't already there at least).

We can hope for more land and see what happens.

So in terms of completely new things being added, I think last summer already won, because of a new part of the map (water) being opened up, and a new map being added (KL).

In terms of what was better and more enjoyable, this summer might take the crown, because stonecutters was fun, and if we get another event that's at least just as good as stone cutters, this summer will take the crown for being more enjoyable.

Yeah I voted for last summer, even though I expect a lot to make this one better before it ends. With only two weeks left in July, it's likely we"ll only get 1 level update rather than the two for last July. The Monorail is underestimated imo, it could open the door for Shelbyville, The Badlands, etc. Level Updates the rest of the summer hopefully will bring Cookie Kwan, Marvin Monroe, Sideshow Bob.... here's hoping the rest of the summer rocks!

I wasn't technically here, but from what I've seen, last Summer was far superior. We got two expansions, a 4th of July Update and a couple levels to boot. EA wasn't as stingy with premiums and was more balanced.

The main drawback, however were the crashes. I started in August, when Krustyland took off. People were complaining about being kicked out of their games. I had little problem, but there were still several threads and fingerprinting at the update.

This year, EA has been very, VERY greedy. Charging 225 donuts for a gold house or rereleasing cash items at premium price. They are alienating more and more players. Stonecutters was awesome, so they need to step their game up before they dig their grave even further.
