- I think the top grossing chart is a very important metric and I pay attention to it.
TSTO's needle in the chart moves in line with the release of new content/events ( I recall TSTO was back in the top 10 during Easter).
It has fallen as far back as the 50s during a long lapse in content release.
#22 is suggesting that it is still a popular game but there is not an immediate need by its players to buy donuts. It will move back up the charts at the next release.
What is disturbing about the charts trend is that the highs are not as high (2 years ago a constant top 3 app) and the lows are more consistent. This shows the game is running out of gas as it is having trouble bringing in new customers. I think the game has 2 more years (maybe much less) before it has run out of steam and is pulled from rotation. But a 4-5 year run for any game is a fantastic success. - Not surprising the premium content has been very meh the last few levels and events (with the exception of Crazy Cat Lady) Chester Dupree as premium really EA? That's the best you can do?
- Well, I don't know about anyone else, but the continuing wrong town glitch combined with the greed of Easter has put me off. The first few times I got a Play or App store gift card, I spent it on donuts and got one or two new characters. I got a Play card after the semester ended, and I have bought zero donuts with it. (Know what I got instead? Six full games. Seems like a better use of the money, all in all.)

I'm right there with ya!- i would assume fewer long term players are buying donuts because they are waiting on the sale.
The 2 weeks of lag and issues probably hampered sales.
The Easter even ticked a lot of people off. those that bought tons of eggs and got nothing in return
and last but not least... the lack of decent content and rising cost of premium items. - What can they do to spice up the game....?
Hmm.... Has Bart ever owned a bear? - The report I see has TSTO at #31
- Fingers crossed EA pay attention now it's hitting them in their wallets, although they're so dumb they'll probably just release another random chance event thinking people will be tricked into buying donuts, when in reality all it will do is make even more players stop buying them or quit altogether.
- folks must have experienced or heard about the Easter update debacle.
- After Easter I decided to never spend another nickel on this game. I won Bobbins, it crashed and she left my town. It's been weeks and EA has done zip. Went from everyday player to logging in maybe every 3 days. I think I'm ready for the game to die.
