The DIRT is awful

I think it looks fine.. Great work EA! Appreciate the new materials.

I like the dirt just fine. But I'm not a fan of the dirt road. I've tried placing it, but it just doesn't look right. I just put the dirt everywhere, and am building a mini town on top of it. It looks way better without the roads, and more like how it really looked in the old west. :)

The comments are hilarious on this post. Still downloading the update The dirt from the pic appears to lack sandy texture. Maybe that is why it looks like a muted shade of school bus yellow.

Waaahhhh. the dirt is the wrong color.
People have been waiting for dirt for years.
Theres a thread thats nearly two years old that people keep bumping because they want dirt.

There is no right or wrong color of dirt. It just is. I actually love the color that they made it out to be.
Its a sandy color of dirt and is aesthetically pleasing when mixed in with the saloon and general store.
It also opens up a lot of the other buildings for dirt exteriors :D

I'm loving this update and my advice to you is to deal with it. If you dont like it, dont use it.
There are more important things to whine about...for example, the lack of crafting this update.
I'm going through crafting withdrawal here!

Overall, I really like everything...I do agree with the grass edge on the dirt being unnecessary. Also really just wish it had a little texture.....like, you know.....dirt......

have you never seen a western? It's what's known as "CLAY DIRT". It can also be found on baseball fields.

That said I LOVE the look but very disappointed it doesn't show up for neighbors to see. All my designs I'm working on show up as grass to my friends when they visit.

I'm hoping EA will correct the look of the horrible dirt.

I was hoping it would match the cactus patches and the five corners monument. Something more practical. Maybe they'll add some more options.

This is what I wanted.. it looks weird otherwise.

Still, if you make a 'Frontierland' it all fits just fine. I want to make a Back to the Future 3 style area and some of the buildings I wanted to place there can't go on the dirt. Oh well, more flowers it is.

I like the dirt. Might be super dumb if it doesn't match the dirt from our decos...but they don't even match each other, usually. Also, I like the "anger". Yes, my pretty, feed the hate. ;) :P

Oh, I see. If it's your issue, then it's okay to whine about it, eh? I mean, no one ever complained about too much crafting here, or anywhere, right? So, yeah...time to complain that we need more crafting. I get it. Totally. Makes sense, even. Let's do this thing. ;)
