I try to explore as much of this game as possible when I play, but I always gravitate toward making relatively nice sims who end up having families, so I thought it might he fun to challenge myself to play through the villainous aspirations and careers as well with one or more sims who only have negative traits. I always end up enjoying playing challenges if I have other people to play along side with, so let me know if any of you out there would enjoy something like this (I will post in the story/challenge section of the forums after seeing who might be interested in joining)I am also always up for suggestions for doing any kind of mini challenges with other simmers too, it doesn't necessarily have to be this one. I also really do enjoy doing scenarios with a group of other players too, and there is the Super Rich Supervillain Scenario that I once started playing but never finished that could tie into exploring evil sims.So if any of you are interested, I can put together a little summary or guidelines for I'm thinking! I anticipate a short-ish challenge, as I don't always do well with keeping focus and consistency with ideas that take a long time to play out haha.

I would be interested if not too long term challenges:)

You don't have to play the negative aspirations as downright evil. Maybe balance it out:- The gang leader who deeply cares for his minions and wishes the general population no ill, but really cannot stand the rival gang to the point of beating them up on sight. (My Villareal are like this.)- The Goofball who doesn't know where it stops to be funny and tries to mend every damage he did.- Workplace rivals, either two individual sims or maybe two departments against each other. As in the first example, these sims would only ever target a small group of other sims, but behave civilly, even nice, most of the time. (My detective sims fall into this category.)- The undercover agent who is in the criminal career to destroy the organized crime from within. At first he follows the Public Enemy aspiration to keep up the pretense, but in time finds the line to blur, finds mean interactions increasingly more fun and has a hard time recovering his old personality.

@EnkiSchmidt I definitely do want to challenge myself to make more diverse sims that aren't all good or bad, just as you're saying, and that's something I do want to add to my game as join challenges, just to have more unique sims to play. I would use Wolfgang Munch, played him a lot in past. Maybe that seems obvious, but it's a different approach from "well I've never played this way so maybe I should"For me, the mean conversational interactions aren't very fun. But stealing from other sims, creatively, is definitely fun. So are starting fights, and setting people on fire using magic. You could also play a negative aspiration with the idea of creating a turn-around later in life.In my San Myshuno game I followed Darling Walsh's Chief of Mischief aspiration all the way to the end, then had her become a teacher and start to be more and more a support to the children in her neighborhood.

@mightysprite Thanks for your suggestions and feedback! I definitely do want to create a bigger story and challenge around just doing the mean stuff, and I already have some ideas brewing :)

Stay tuned, I will post a link for a little casual challenge in the next day or so! Until then, happy brainstorming to anyone who thinks this might be a fun way for them to explore these elements of gameplay and wants to join in!

@Belalucina Well if you want to join and challenge yourself, feel free. I will post an official thread after Christmas. I really hope it gets a little silly, because playing evil sims and making the story too dark is personally not what I'm going for. I'm definitely hoping to be entertained and create fun drama and just let the goofiness of the game take over too.

If anyone wants to join and get things ready ahead of time, I think I'll keep the rules really simple. You must complete at least one deviance aspiration (base game ones include Public Enemy, Chief of Mischief and Villainous Valentine) and your chosen sim must either have the mean or evil trait but the others are up to you. Also if you'd want to explore a pack specific aspiration that lends itself for more nefarious play, like a vampire or werewolf aspiration, that would be fine too and of course if there are negative traits from specific packs that would be similar to mean or evil, you can most certainly use those too. If you're into scenario play, the Super Rich Supervillain Scenario would set things up nicely for a challenge like this too.

You may also have other sims in your household too, cheat money and needs if necessary, and have any kind of occult sim your heart desires. Really I just want us to all have fun playing with elements of the game we might not usually explore. I definitely like playing with others so I hope a few of you are interested in joining or just following along too :)

Actually, I ugh, have a Sim with some anti-social tendencies? She's a teenager, her solo parent Mum has just gotten engaged and she's recently been turned into a vampire (actually, she was created in CAS that way but this is her story; shrug)

Young Chloe is definitely not adjusting well and I've always meant to explore mischief and meanness and enemies... Right now she doesn't know any different but to sneak out the house at night (despite curfew) and bite unsuspecting passers-by.

Let me know if Chloe will fit in and I would likely <3 to join in.

@permanentrose - Will sims start as YA or teens? I believe Chief of Mischief can be done by teens, but not the others. I think the Live Fast Aspiration in High School Years would fit a "mean" sim. lol Let me know :)
