- I did the Railyard this past week, but I'm not going to for the rest of the event. Too much of a hassle for only 5 donuts.
The daily challenge has really made free donuts so much easier to obtain. - Personally, I love the challenge of juggling different quest lines. Haven't missed any RailYard donuts yet and plan to keep it that way! The game is called Tapped Out for a reason!!

It just seems awfully convenient that it has been metal-centric since the casino stuff started. I get that it's just for free donuts, but it feels a little rigged.
The railyard requirements are generated by random with a weighted value ... the metal production is weighted higher than the others so on the whole it is chosen more often than either glass or plastic under any condition.
I have 2 Springfields ... in one I have Brandine, in the other I do not have Brandine. In the non-Brandine'd town, my RY seems like it's almost always 75% requiring metal, which makes it even harder to grind for those resources when the metal producing characters are the most commonly used characters for just about any and every event that comes down the pike.
You could just take a break from grinding monorail tracks for donuts until after the casino event is complete.- anaquarindNew SpectatorI guess this is not a good time to point out who starts off and gets locked up for 12 hours with the start of Act 3....

I don't know whether to  or  jonny092110 wrote:
I've been able to never take Burns' Casino characters over to metal production during event by only choosing the smallest blueprint option every time. The more chances to spend have resulted in the least downtime of plastic & glass producers. Of course u should know I'm a grinder. I got pushed the furthest last week, not completing until Friday. But it's raining bonuts!
I have mainly been focusing on the first two blueprint options and have gotten a good mix. I've ignored the 160 Metal task and am pretty confident I'll be able to finish with enough spare time.- I think I'll earn close to 30 donuts by collecting green chips by the end of today. I missed out on rail yard donuts twice since this casino event started, but I've made it up by collecting chips-just saying.

I'm working hard to finish this. The all-metal stuff seems to come in cycles, and I started this week with metal after metal.- I quit the rail yard ages ago. Too much of a grind for 5 donuts. Saved my sanity...sort of.
- It seemed to me that I've been getting metal more often since the event started, but I think it's just a Baader-Meinhof phenomenon (yes, I had to re-look up what it was called)
