Agreed -- it's very odd.
They also make it a point to add sound clips for every building, yet they don't bother to voice most of the characters. I used to think it was a rights thing, but playing Family Guy, I'm almost positive it has nothing to do with rights. Family Guy likely just gets clips from the show in order to voice all of the characters.
