- Not a fan either.
- 4junk3000New SpectatorI wonder if they released it too early, not letting enough anticipation build.
I also wonder how many people expect every event to be as good or better than the last, an impossibility of course.
A new event just started in the Star Trek Timelines game, if you need a diversion. Coincidentally, also western themed. - I agree it's not very exciting. But honestly I always wondered why so many people around here thought you could get a whole event out of this. Just because something was a good episode doesn't necessarily mean it will make a good event.
- why sit it out? It still gives you something to do with some unique items to unlock.
- Had to do a re-check if you weren't the second person posting in this thread instead of being the author. The posts I remember seeing from you paint you as an allround positive poster so don't worry about being off here; You're not. Don't sell yourself short, you don't need to doubt yourself. You're a beautiful, strong, independant dog who don't need no owner.
I'm not huge on keeping up on the Simpsons. Casual viewer, not that knowledgeable on the whole Simpsons universe so I can't really gauge what are wanted event themes for this game.
That being said, I've seen much talk on the forums about a Chili event and when it finally dropped I can see your point. It feels like a 'filler event' which appears to be lasting two weeks. This is completely fine for me; I like the prizes and premium items (bought the Steel Mill). Little questline attached with attainable decorations, buildings and what not. I enjoy it all.
On the flipside, my limited knowledge leaves me satisfied here because I didn't set any expectations. For people who have been building this event up because they know what great potential it has, this could be a bit of a letdown. - Goo Goo Gajook?
- It's a mini event - they're literally time killers and fillers to give us something to do between real events. When you come down to it, it's going to be a handful of new buildings, maybe a new character and a few skins - plus some returning content for new players or for old players that missed it the first time around.
I tend to keep lower expectations and I'm usually really happy with the mini events. Sometimes the go all out (they really knocked it out of the park with valentines day, imo), but most are just something to do instead of having a solid month of nothing between events.
Bottom line is going to be what they offer your Springfield after they're done, and I'm usually really happy with those additions.
Plus it's only been a day and there's still much more to come, so it's kind of premature to make our minds up about it anyways. - Just think...in 13 days or so...fingers crossed Superheroes 2
- Yeah it seems low key at first. I'm not sure the deets but there's a new mini game that unlocks at some point during the prize track and if you ask me mini games are way cool.
Also there's supposed to be a bunch more stuff that unlocks tomarrow so it's probably too early to write off this update quite yet.... - someonewashereRising Novice

This was the first thing in my mind, this is a filler quest until heroes 2 (cant wait, missed it the 1st time didnt start playing till around june of last year) so my hopes are high.
With the whacking day stalls you could maek a makeshift chili area however i feel that a little something-something extra woulda hit the spot, that said i got home from doing the groceries and BAM!
Chili event in my game and in the kitchen.
Chili dogs in my stomach for now, and Insanity Peppers for Homer in the game.
