This is a good event. Why all the hate?

I've been seeing I lot of unwarranted hate for this event and it just started a couple of days ago. Now I'll admit I miss the lack of trick and treating, the green rivers and the cartable items stink  However we've had some good content in this event. We're finally getting the House of Evil Shopkeeper and Angelica Button is brilliantly voiced with fun visual tasks. The monster battle animations are well done and you have the ability to buy a Magic Scratch-R with a jackpot of 2400 donuts! Not to mention we're only in act one and EA could have some good surprises on tap that they're hiding.

The plot involves the characters of some books coming into reality.. however those Trolls, aren't they Tolkien? Why limit it to Harry Potter and Angelica Button? Why not have the wand be broken within a library and allow all those literary characters to come out?
    Division into three acts, obviously.
First being Angelica Button and her monsters (as well as allies) the second could be comic based and release Itchy and Scratchy from their confinement, the final act would have the classic movie monsters released, as what are those monsters, other than old folklore written down in Grimm Tales?

This is a good idea, and it certainly would have made for a meatier update. It would also have made those players who were looking forward to more of an old-school Halloween update very happy.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the classic movie monsters are derived more from classic authors like Bram Stoker, Mary Shelley, HG Wells, and Robert Louis Stevenson. I always think of the really gory versions of fairy tales when people say Grimm.

I am aware, as well as Frankenstein being the doctor but not the monster. What I refer to lies within the general folklore around vampires, werewolves, witches etc. They tend to have been folklore Which eventually found their way into certain books, which then spawned other books.

However your point is a valid one. Nevertheless the main point is still the same, ones creativity is limited by ones imagination.

On the other hand, gory fairy tales could make for a fun THOH....Hmmm, something to consider, Simpsons writers!

Remember getting my youngest to watch this movie, well before her time but she loved it... I was pointing out Lizzie McGuire's dad...
