I talked to an EA customer service person, they are aware of the issue and say
"First of all, please accept my apology for the inconvenience caused.. I would like to inform you that we are receiving the similar contacts and many of the customers are facing the same issue. As customer are missing their donuts after last game update. Good thing is that, this has been brought into the notice of the Studio Team and they are diligently working to fix it as soon as possible."
and
"I am really sorry but at the moment I am not able to provide an exact time frame .However i can assure you that your issue will be resolved at the earliest.You can rest assured."
I've lost over 230 donuts so far. NOT COOL, EA. NOT COOL.
