I really don't see how they can fix this properly because:
1. We have all lost varying amounts of donuts. Some haven't lost any. How would they know the difference?
2. Some of us (like me) have had their donuts replaced and others have not.
3. Most of us have earned donuts one way or another since this update was released, which means that if they decide to restore donuts to a previous point in time it would be inaccurate.
4. Many of us don't even know exactly how many donuts they had prior because they don't keep track. I only started to keep track during Tapball because I wanted to know how many bonuts I got.
When I talked to a rep via live chat, he wanted to know the exact amount that I had lost. I knew because I had been writing it down. He didn't request proof such as a screenshot, however I am starting to do that now in case they decide to revert the donuts to a preset point in time. I don't want to lose the 30 that I got from the MB this morning + a few others from neighbor visits. I did get my 45 donuts back but didn't get any extra for my troubles even though someone who was helped by the same person just minutes before me did. They must roll the dice to decide whether or not to give compensation donuts or even to just replace them.
There are way too many variables here to do a rollback or a patch. How would they know how many to credit? Just think how many po'd people there would be if they get less donuts than they had.
As posted above, they need to credit everyone with at least 200 donuts! :mrgreen:
