- Thank you! I swear the game designers said, “you said why you’ve hated the recent events and we listened.... by keeping everything you hate and making it next to impossible to complete!” I got behind in the beginning because it required an update that refused to load (so many Bart screens!) since I was two days behind it has been impossible to catch up even with all the regular characters and an extra premium one. I’m guessing if you don’t have all the characters there’s absolutely no way to finish.
- Designed to create Money for EA, Spend actual $, for something that is worthless in Virtual Money in the EA Game.
Only need 1% to bite for them to make money.
Shouldn't you be using that money on buying Toilet Paper anyway? - 11EEveyHero+I have played more often that I did in most recent events. This event really needed attention to getting in and resetting every 4 hours. I only rushed with donuts if I only needed 30 or 40 currency to complete a part. Max I spent about 150 donuts rushing. Since I farm, it is no big deal to rush it. I definitely did not lose any sleep to reset my towns.
Major events in the past actually took a lot more time out of my day, when you had to go around to all neighbors and collect crafting currency. It could take a half hour or more every day, on top of finding tappables in your town and resetting event tasks. This event only took a couple minutes every four hours, but you had to get in 4-5 times a day.
I have spent money on this game and will again I am sure. If the game brings you joy, you should support it. Events may be frustrating, but the game overall does bring me joy. "iain51269522;c-2121038" wrote:
You still get to sleep in fact you can have eight hours.
You just need to put your characters on before you start the sleep. Have four hours complete the jobs about 2am all blearly eyed and have four more hours sleep before collecting again in the moring.
I remember those days lol.- I have not rushed, but I have lost sleep.
I did not get the Act 4 final part Thursday afternoon, after the event had finished.
I could have got it in the evening, but I wasn't sure if I did that if I might also then lose the chance to get the other 3.
Only have final parts to get and I will get them together. - Welcome to the forum.
You're the first person I seen to say that there should be more time for this event.
Focus on getting to part 5 of From the Mouth of Abes (act 4 questline), In the Lukewarm of the Twilight (act 3 questline), Fair-Weather Father (act 2 questline) and No Laughing Matter (act 1 questline) so that you begin working on the character and once the event is over you can still work on getting the characters. - Same here. I could tell they made the event much longer and came here for advice. I used my precious few donuts to finish off each task (like the splitting into two buildings idea, but I'm lazy and also wanted to boost my progress).
I also played much more religiously than usual.
At this rate I still won't finish in time.

Not sure what this means or if I can still take advantage of it in time. The unfinished tasks stick around after the deadline? If so this will only save me like one day of grinding, I've got roughly two hundred police badges to get and then I can do wheelcakes. If I understood you correctly I'll move onto wheelcakes immediately but I wish I read this sooner lol - Thank you for the clarification torin.
Yes this update seems to cater to the established fanbase, knowing the above trick will help me next time tho. I don't think the game should depend on hidden tricks like that tho.
I agree Belo, the premium characters used to seem optional and now we pretty much have to buy one to get through the whole quest line. - You don't have to get Part 5 started to be able to finish it later, you just have to finish Part 4.
I believe, when Part 5 is open, it is classed as started so you don't have to send people in.
In most cases, I was lucky enough to get Part 4 finished before the next Act started, so I could work towards Part 5 with no distractions; but once the next Act started I left the previous one alone.
On one of them, I could have put them back in, but I was about 2 or 3 hours away and I didn't want an overrun of 1 or 2 hours.
Especially as Part 5 was adequately started anyway. - I think we should have another itchy and scratchy event
