To what degree have you enjoyed the event thus far?

I'd give this event 5.5-6 stars out of 10. So I voted 56-70%.

This isn't the best event content wise, and quest wise. The machanics of the event are decent so far, but I have a feeling that will change as we get into phase 2 and 3. Maybe I'm wrong, but overall this event is mediocre, but a decent kind of mediocre.

I'm interested to see what others think...

In fact I was thinking of making a similar thread but with stars, but you beat me to it.

My significant other (who only posts on the forum once in a blue moon, but has been playing Tapped Out for two years) told me yesterday that he thought this was the best event so far. He loves the crafting mechanic, says it really keeps him engaged in the game more than the collection of currency does. It's true that he's been playing much more regularly than he has all year.
Anyway, just thought I'd share. I thought the crafting idea was kind of interesting, and I know they're always trying new mechanics to keep things fresh. It's nice to see that at least one person likes this one so much.

In my cranky mood i did not list anything good about the event, which is unfair. The event has very good style, everyone's little Halloween costume is cute, the trees look great.

I also believe the treat bags is a clever twist for earning rewards, rather than a wheel which we've had enough of. I like the randomness and some choice in what prize to craft. I like there is something we can craft at the end with the excess candy, the stone walls.

The free prizes are all new, which is very cool. But i don't like the timers being so limiting. Is not like there isn't plenty of stuff available to make money on this event. This is a huge garage sale for old limited items, which i would be stoked on if i actually had any money to spend. People have been asking for rerelease of some of these items for a long time. And yet they are still very limited in time available so that is maintaining their exclusivity.

Oh and i do like the eggs. I was distributing a few to each neighbor, but after getting a batch from a neighbor (*wink/nod*) i find its much more fun to dump like 10 on one friend at a time. When they log in they'll get the "whoa! Gremlins everywhere! Gahh!" experience which i thought was fun when it happened to me. So maybe some of you will try that.

The event is pretty decent in some regards, and I'm sure many are enjoying similarly to Neuro's SO. but these short term time limits are spoiling it. I don't like being slighted when i am participating in their grind and jumping through their hoops.
  • I can agree about the restrictive timers, 4junk. They do add some stress to the event that I find unpleasant. I'm sure it's all part of the plan to keep it "interesting" for a month, but it can be problematic.
Glad you enjoyed the gremalien bomb :) I've been trying to spread the love as much as possible, but some of my neighbors need gremaliens more than others, and I only get about 15 a day, so I hoard some of them to help out people who are close to a prize but not quite there yet.
