Trump references in Act 3 Questline?

Moe: Quimby's got a point about all these monsters in town. They don't gamble, they don't drink – what kind of freaks are they?
Barney: Yeah, we should build a wall to keep them out. Plus think of the jobs it would create for the local wall builders' union.
---
Carl: I guess we owe you monsters an apology. Especially about that wall stuff, which kind of sounded far-fetched to begin with. I mean, wasn't Mexico supposed to pay for it?
  • This is a question for all the non US players out there. Many of you have said there's a lot of coverage of the US presidential election in the foreign media. Has this always been the case in previous years?

I'm a news junkie... It always makes it to international news. Outcomes of US elections have potential to affect many economies. I'm under the impression there is much more coverage this year though. Hard to say as I'm trying not to follow this year but having trouble avoiding it (too much drama for me), first election ever I didn't watch the debates.

With Canada being so close, we always get coverage of U.S. events.

+1 even major car accidents in US etc. will make it to our news. Plus Canada doesn't have much Canadian content on tv. Most of our tv is from US so we'll see news from Detroit, Chicago, LA... all major cities with tv stations picked up here, tends to be based on where you live i.e. BC will see more washington/california news, whereas Ontario will see more east coast news.
  • We thought we had problems with Brexit. Then we saw the US election :D

I'm quite young so I'm not going to remember a lot of elections anyway but if I recall correctly when Obama was running for president there was just a small bit around when they first announced who was running and then again in the actual lead up to the election for a week or two. It was mainly just about him making some history about being the first black president, and his Irish heritage (which always is newsworthy here in Ireland except this year).
This year though it's non stop, everyday for months there is something new on the news about the campaign, it only died down a bit around the brexit referendum but now it's 50% presidential campaign and brexit, 50% other news.

Literally as I am typing this the newswoman has announced a headline of "What do the Amish in America think of the presidential race", that's certainly not something i expect to find on my national news broadcast :D

American TV is full of Canadians. Eh, you're pretty much watching Canadian TV.

Ya eh? Mind you I didn't know Jay Leno was Canadian until around the time he was going off air. Oh and sorry and eh are very normal and commons words in my daily language ;)

There is always a lot of coverage of all the international big topics, not only Trump/Clinton.
