I agree with the OP. If your town is generating 200,000XP/day that is 2M in 10 days or 6 donuts. With Collider it becomes 30 donuts. This gives a net loss of 1 donut. Also with the collider running all the time it makes the KEMs more desirable.
Not to hijack this topic, but you may rethink trash. I figure that I lose about $300,000 from my rail yard workers during the week. This equates to about 1.5 bonus ups for 4.5 donuts. I think that the 0.5 donut cost is worth not dealing with the rail yard. I also don't need any more track.
