Unemployment Office complaint again

I've moaned about this before, but I'm so fed up of this, it's making me question whether I really want to play this game any longer.
Now that I have 250+ characters and I get daily quests, or quests from new buildings or characters that are 12 hours or so, it is driving me crazy. The unemployment Office won't send the rest of the characters on 60 min or other tasks, even though I've already assigned the necessary characters to do it.
So I either manually assign each character, or just give up.
It must be a very easy thing to sort out for EA.
  • I wish we could tap on buildings and decorations to see if there are any character tasks associated with them.

    #1 on my wishlist
  • The other annoying thing is if characters do jobs together. They are sent on the individual jobs not paired jobs. So you get characters who have to do different time jobs
  • It's always been a bone of contention that the Unemployment Office has never quite been fit for purpose.
The issue you have with daily challenges is probably the most annoying, but also :

Not selecting joint missions when a character has no individual task for a given time length.
Unable to speed up tasks if even 1 character is free.
No option for certain time periods at all e.g 10hr & 16hr.
Not auto-selecting a premium task for a given time if multiple tasks are available.

Given all that though, I have also been saved from my own stupidity many times by it holding back the daily task character when I haven't been paying attention and sent everyone on 24hr tasks, so it's kinda swings and roundabouts. What it needs is the ability to detect when you've sent enough people to satisfy the requirements and then release its hold.
Luckily for me I'm in the position to follow @joe444 's advice and just let it go and leave everyone else off task till the challenge is completed, but I do remember being irked to death with it back when I was scrambling for cash and xp.
Hang on in there, it will become a lot less of a deal in the latter stages & we're all here for you to vent. ?
  • One other big improvement EA could make, would be the ability to cancel tasks if you accidentally send characters on one. Especially if it's a long one. I've lost count of the times I could kick myself for doing it.

You can already do that. With donuts! :p

Yay, I'll go an' annoy some Woke lot then an' maybe they'll cancel me with donuts.
    :D :D :p :p
  • Have you checked your inventory @lostbug ?
You might have accidentally stored it, although I confess I've never tried so don't know if it even is storable, cos I can't imagine why anyone would want to.
If it really has disappeared then try the usual force close, hard reboot option, failing that uninstall/reinstall (only if you have an account) and if that doesn't bring it back you'll have to contact EA cos it sounds like something catastrophic has gone wrong.

    Good luck.
