Thanks for the replies guy, I have managed to get all the characters back now apart from Lisa by storing and replacing. Not sure what I'm gonna do about Lisa, although this did happen before with the third station and seemed to get sorted.  Fingers crossed.

Ok, Lisa came back when I stored Grampa and placed the retirement home again. It came up with Simpsons set complete and she was in storage lol. Dubious about placing the fourth station and track again.

Did you have the track in or over water? That is causing this for some people.
