What device are you on? Sounds like something else is robbing the space your OS needs to run properly. Try clearing up some space and get rid of any Apps you don't use.

I don't think that is the issue, I have about 10 Gigs free, with tapped out installed. I haven't installed anything in a while and it only started happening after the last update. I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing it, but it doesn't look like it. I will probably have to just reinstall if it continues. - It is possible that you have a corrupt file somewhere in the game files as I play across 3 different android devices and haven't had any issues, maybe try cleaning the cache, restart the device and if it still persists then a reinstall with a restart in between the uninstall and reinstall.
- I've had this bug happen twice. also is there a workaround
