Update speculation makes no sense
Yeah we'll the simpsons show isn't entirely consistent with things as you would know, I mean in the stonecutters ep the Simpsons house was behind the power plant

It was interesting to see the Mayan Marge image on the wiki. I guess there's stuff in the files that they later choose to forget about.
