I look at one of the highest payout, like the Burns Manor, to get a more accurate result. It pays out 520$ so if you get, for example 700$, you have 700/520= 1,346. If you want to know how much do you get from other building, for example the hospital, you only need to do 300x1,346= 404$.
To know the percentage multiply by 100 and sustract 100, so 134,6% -100= 34,6%.

    Okay?

    Okay?

This ^ is fairly simple math, but if you find yourself stymied by simple math just use the less accurate but much easier Gulp 'N Blow method:

Tap on a Gulp 'N Blow.
Count up how much cash ($) you get.
    Subtract 100.
Now you have your multiplier as a percentage.

So if your Gulp 'N Blow tap = $135
    Subtract 100
    Multiplier is 35%

That works, too, but I think the 1000 xp from the weather station is a little simpler to calculate with, since I can do it in my head.
  • Just used the weather station method of working out my multiplyer and I'm at 44.1%, what is a good percentage for a freemium player????

I think 44.1% is great for a strict freemium player. I'm at 78% and I've probably spent about $60 in free iTunes cards and $20 in real cash.

My preferred method is to buy a weather station, because it pays out 1000 XP. I count up how much XP I get over that amount, and divide by 10 to get my exact multiplier.
Example: as I said, it gives me 1338 XP to get a weather station. So the amount over 1000, 338, indicated the bonus. Divide by ten, and it comes out that my bonus is 33.8%

You can also collect from a gulp'n'blow, which pays out $100, so the amount of cash over 100 will approximate your multiplier percent, but the weather station is more precise and on-demand, which is why I prefer it.

    cool, thank you.

well, a weather station got me 1357xp so i guess I'm at 35.7%.

    OK now i know.

Very good. Back when I cared about multiplier, I was similarly * about it and used channel 6 tasks (Arnie) for even more sig figs, as the smallest multiplier increment is 0.05%.

    And is more accurate.

    Edit: for better sense

I just finished building the wax museum and when I saw it awards you 10,000 xp I thought its the perfect time to figure out my exact multiplier. It added 12,655 xp to my current value so my multiplier is 26.55% bonus. The odd 0.05% is from having won 3 white picket fences in the mystery box once. Next time you build somthing that gives up 10,000 xp take advantage and figure out your multiplier. Also take note of your conformity bonus in case it changes and if you buy or win any decorations with bonuses you can easily find out what your new multiplier will be
