Vacation thread

Thanks all! Back now.

Quick update, was in southern china so had major google withdrawal, shared Internet over dial up with both hotels, couldn't post, visit neighbors (Christmas quests stalled for 3 weeks) and intermittent access to my own Springfield as well as almost no access to the board. Although I think twice it cleared up. Censureship is weird!

Sanya was sad. My wife was telling me how 2 years ago there had been a great thriving food culture area but when she went back we found out the govt had bulldozed it in its program to turn the island into the official chinese island vacation resort. No great food anywhere left. Sad.

Guangzhou (formerly known as canton has greatly suffered from modernization as well. We never found food any better than that we can find in the immigrated Chinese communities in S.F., Oakland, or L.A.. (With the caveat to stay away from the Chinese-American Food places if you want a great meal.

Anyway, that was long. I'm back. Going to see I I can get enough coins to get SLH before I buy a funzo. I like the burns monster, but the gagging cuteness of the funzo. Not my thing.

Ahhh yes, unfortunately in recent years, most of China's most fantastic food places have almost disappeared because the government is trying to increase the number of tourists for their country as well develop it for themselves. The nice spots to visit in China have also almost all been transformed into tourist traps and are very frequently filled with tourists.

I experienced it first hand when I went there a few years ago. It's quite sad but they do have some really beautiful scenery.

I was on a wel earned vacation in Germany until today.
I'm in the Thalys highspeed train to Brussels as we speak.
The wifi here is very bad. It crashes the game every 2 to 3 minutes :twisted:
But i'm almost home, ready to tap again 8)
