The problem with your last statement is that my comment does indeed (or at least attempts to) make a valid point. Just because the inconvenience you cause is a minor one doesn't mean that the act is somehow no longer a breach of common courtesy. There's a practical aspect to this as well. One person such as yourself does this and, yes, the inconvenience is minor. Dozens start doing it and the inconvenience and impact on the forum grows. I'm really not trying to be snotty here; I'm just saying (in case you weren't already aware) that what you did is generally frowned upon.
