Well the thing is, in any game I've ever played that has a gifting system, there's a limited number of items you can gift. So while it's good for new players who have nothing, it just makes older players accumulate too much of the same items. That being said, I still think it's a good idea, BUT if they do it, they should make it so you can gift ANY item you own, not just a select few.
