Well guess were not getting any free stuff!!!

Congrats. EA were just about to give us something, then they saw this and threw the 200 free donuts back in a drawer.

I'd give up free presents for a nice item in the box, in like my first 10 boxes, 13 at most I've gotten 17 fences

Some folks should be happy they get to play this game for free. If you want free donuts, visit your friends. :shock:

I think ea have been really generous so far this year. Xmas was really generous doughnut wise.
There's lots of ways of getting free doughnuts.
Levelling up, clearing rubbish, the balloon game in krustyland.
Not got any from visiting friends yet but in sure there's doughnuts to be had from this event :)

I'm freemium and so far managed to earn over 125.
I think that's good going, but then again doughnuts arnt that important for my enjoyment of the game. But that's just me.

I'm sure we will get some free stuff at some point but we have had a few tie in characters and buildings already this year.

Just trying to put a positive view on it :)

Everytime I have maxed out the "Friend Points," I have found AT LEAST 2 Donuts while going through my Friends' Towns.. And that is EVERY DAY I find them.. At first, I kind of thought Donuts were hard to come by in this game, but they really aren't.. You just need to learn to use your Donuts wisely.. I even found a Donut when I tapped on one of the buildings in my own town yesterday.. Had not seen that before.. Like someone else said.. just be glad you get to play this for free.. Beggers can't be choosers.. Give people an inch, and they'll take a mile! hahahaha

I'm beginning to think free is turning into premium

The most recent update was a good one. We are getting interesting new items, the handshakes giving friend points in addition to the ones we get from visiting friends allowed me to finish maxing out my friend level. Now, I am getting 1-2 free donuts per day plus another 3 free per week from leveling (for those at level 39 with too much in-game cash to use, remember to buy and sell the zirconium diamond - that is worth 300K+ xp).

From the event, I have done 13 boxes - I got some fences, the pond, but also got the lab rabbit and the banana dictatorship. Remember, many of the cooler prizes require you to open at least 12 boxes first and sherry bobbins requires 20 boxes. After 80 boxes, most of the new characters, etc are guaranteed. I am pacing at 3-5 boxes per day which should give me about 120 boxes total by the time the event is complete. Focusing mainly on gold, I should be able to have virtually all the prizes.

The humor on this one is priceless. We're electro-stunning bunnies, jokes about genetic manipulation (especially the cletus ones), Homer's church jokes - this has been one of the more entertaining events for a while (yes, they could have done better - explaining how everything worked and not doing 3 different eggs would have been nice).

Without spending any real world money - you can get everything during this event (goes to mid May) and probably get another 35 free donuts in the process.
