- Everything Christmas related. It will be a good spot for Santa’s village.
- lucienleon519Rising RookieI didn’t appreciate just how much land is now available. It’s massive!
- Thinking that my Krustyland/Theme park area and Wild West area for starters, maybe my Christmas or Halloween section too.
- I'm going to start by moving my Christmas monorail station there, and storing most of the groups of trees (which don't count as single items, by the way. Boo.) and work on a Christmas area there when we get snow next month. So many possibilities.
Here's the start. "sideshowdan9;c-2211341" wrote:
SH is and always has been a special event area for me. Vegas, Wild West, ancient Egypt, France, Italy, Japan, Canadian border, etc etc. It's where Springfielders go on holiday. I've unlocked all the land, expanded my frontier town to include the new bits and really could do with one more strip of land to put my London area into.
The canyon itself takes up one strip, and with everything else added to the area I have about 3/4 of a strip left. Not enough for the design I have in the town. Hmph. Have to figure that out.
Might mean moving the Canadian border area to somewhere else.
I changed my SH to Maggie Land where there's mostly just the buildings Maggie lands on when she goes missing. But the new land will have to go to a holiday land, most definitely.- Castiel_ToukSeasoned Newcomer

I'm having difficulty figuring out how to terminate this canyon. It fubar'd all my premium mansions on the back of SH so I'm ok with straight over, but i don't like that we cannot join water to the canyon; or that there's a 2-square gap along its edge.
I tried to make the road appear to zigzag through the mountains and across the canyon at its edge. Do you see it? You're welcome to pirate this idea if you like it, i don't think I'm going to keep it anyway.
Try the SF dam and see if that works. "janet520915;c-2211388" wrote:
I bought two bridges for the monorail then instantly hated it as it was no longer 'country'. So I had to move my western bits further in.
Is the only road access going to be through the new tunnels? I will have to move stuff... Took me days to work out how to get the land??? I couldn't understand why the plots weren't marked! What it is to be old! Thank goodness for t'internet and brighter folk than me.
Don't feel bad. Ive been at this for years, at 939 and I'm saying this new land thing is mondo confusing.
What players do without this forum is beyond me.- bluntcardNew Traveler

I bought them too, but put them in storage. I will probably never use them because I want that area to stay rustic, but I may need them someday. I have regretted not buying things in the past. It's good you have them even if you won't use them, at least you know you have them. - Castiel_ToukSeasoned NewcomerYou could always share your designs in here.
The Showcase is getting very quiet nowadays.

I’ve been thinking about this, and there are some parts of my Springfield that don’t mix well with actual Springfield, so all of my global/tourist buildings are going there. England/France/China/Peru… all getting its own section
Ditto! And possibly any buildings that would be more than 400 yrs old, protect them from nuclear apocalypse! ?
