Why are the buildings become so expensive?
Houses are cheap only if you have few of them. The more you add, the higher the price. They did this to discourage house farming.

The house prices was increased last year to discourage people from house farming, each house will cost more money until you reach the maximum amount, usually around 200,000, more or less. You can still build a house farm, but it will take more time.
