Why Brazil? Boring, right?

Let me tell you:

The episode in the 15th season, 13th show, titled "Blame It On Lisa" is the sole reason for the segment.

The writers of this episode were threatened by the Brazil Tourist Bureau after they described the country's living conditions "as nothing more than a rat infested crime ridden slum."

Brazil surprised the writers by actively opposing this episode while other countries they made fun of never kicked up the same fuss.

    My problem with the Brazilian items is that they are not spectacular. The fact that they are creating a "poor part of the city" with the Brazilian items is not fair anyway. They should have concentrated on the colorful, merry carnevals, or beach items. I was hoping they would give the Christ statue of Rio for sky credits, not for donuts (after they gave us the Fuji and the Eiffel tower, it wasn't impossible).
    The better stuff are available for donuts, and even those are mediocre. So many are left out of the Brazilian event. A few painted houses, a decrepit soccer court, a bar and some trees won't scream Brazil for me. The Japanese part of my town is beautiful, and so is the French one. The Brazilian one is meh. No one would ever say "Hey! That's from Brazil!"

    My solution is to create a colorful beach area from those items and focus on the Japanese items, which I can't get enough of. :)

    So my personal opinion is that the Brazilian event is a big miss. Too bad.

    Yes, it is. And that's a shame because just like the French and Japanese acts, Brazil could offer so much more for our town. It's a beautiful country with a rich history and some of the best music in the entire world. The music alone deserves something craftable (not sure how to do that though)

    Yeah but the Simpsons have never been there. Unless you want them to use that episode when homer goes as missionary to a small island.

    NZ is not that small.. it's roughly the same size as Norway or Japan. :/
