Why did EA forget about updating krustyland?

Well, there's only so much to Krustyland... I'd rather them be true to the show than start inventing things for the sake of updates.
  • I don't have all the land in KL because quite simply there isn't enough content to fill it. When you look at the amount of open space there is compared with Springfield it is crazy. I've got all the rides and multiples of a few of the concessions and my KL still seems full of wide open spaces. If EA want to encourage KL visiting they are going to have to come up with some decent incentives for us to visit.

Since there's been little to no updates for it. It launched in July/August of 2013. Since then, they've added:

    Kang ride (Halloween Prize)
Tunnel of Love / Valentine's Decor / Marge (Valentine's Day Prize)
7 Duffs / Crashed Police Car (level 40 update?)

So it's been nearly a year, and that's all of the updates Krustyland has had. So it's assumed to be "forgotten" since the updates have been practically non-existent.
  • I'm still a big fan of Krustyland. I'm still holding out for a big update next month right round the one year anniversary of the original update.

Say what you like about them but EA is a leading game developer. They wouldn't simply forget about something as big as KL.

Apparently you didn't see my previous post in this thread. I love Krustyland. I have it designed 100%, and even predicting that a major update is coming up.
  • But that's my point...everyone is saying they should forget about it or delete because there is nothing to do there. So if they had stuff to do there, it should make people enjoy visiting, no?

Again, why was it assumed that EA had forgotten?

Again since it's been a year, only 4 updates have come (including todays)
If we count updates to Springfield... how about a few dozen?

It is more a feeling of being forgotten. EA did not simply "forget" about it literally, but their lack of updates to it over the course of a year make it feel like a post-it note on their game. Each level update we've had could have added a new ride/decorations. Each of the tie-ins could have had a decoration or 2. Each of the events could have allowed decorations to be placed there. Besides the mindless tasking of characters and collecting tickets, there's been next to nothing going on there. No quest lines take place there.

Simply put, there's been dozens of updates for Springfield, and 4 for Krustyland within nearly a 365 day period. Had it been the reverse, people would say Springfield is forgotten. They put a lot of effort to create this extra map, another currency, additional tasks - but there was never a reason to go upon finishing the initial expansion - until today.
