Why hide gifts?
You don't get to pick where you place the bags. That lack of control can lead to them being dropped behind a building or elsewhere

I have so few to give out I try to put them in an obvious place. "Look! A gift bag from meeeee! You may not get another one for a while, so please enjoy the heck out of this one!!!!"
