Why the change in coin rewards

Actually, that does make me feel better. If it was simply the wrong icon in the rewards screen and everyone was only getting 1000 elixir, than I have no problem with that. I was only upset because I felt like I was losing out on 3000 free elixirs just because I didn't get there as fast as others.

I also didn't receive the 4000 and only got them by contacting support. Honestly if I were you I'd probably complain about it to see if they'd give me the rest since they awarded them to others. The worst they can say is no.

I only got 1000 as well, but I'm trying to get the donuts I spent trying to get the cheaters 20 to work defending my town. Hopefully EA will refund me the 50-75 I spent on those things.

No, I didn't know at the time. I thought it was me doing something wrong. I had also contacted EA and was told I was doing it wrong. So I followed their advice and used more.

Agreed! I also got my 4000 (after complaining); you should demand the same. It is RIDICULOUS that EA is changing things detrimentally mid-event (like this and the failed attack payout) - someone like the OP might well have not rushed, as you could be short of the elixir prize today and still be on track to finish the event. Changing core elements of the event that have clear strategy implications is, in my opinion, even worse than the (admittedly awful) prize wheels of certain events of yore.

I hate to beat a dead horse, EA , I'm a fan of the game , but you will never see any of my other mobile games pull such a shady last minute bait and switch of promised prizes , I play Injustice Mobile card game, they will never try to promise me a Gold Card super hero for completing a task , then swap it for a copper superhero card at the last minute, this is why you're poor maligned company keeps getting voted the worst company in the U.S.
