Won't unlock channel 6
You are missing a quest then. Quimby will be the one to unlock it. So make sure everyone is not doing things and do the quests that come up.

- Sort of same situation as yourself, been waiting what seems ages for the quest to build Channel 6.
However, you must complete all of the Krabappel quests first and they seem to be taking an entirety as the are quite a few. Once you complete the "Olive Branch" set of quests you should get the quest to build Channel 6.

Forgot to add, apart from there being quite a few Krabappel quests quite a few of them are pretty long ones as well!
